YALSA Top Ten 2010

Posted on/at 2:29 PM by Raiders Read!

Each April, the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), provides a list of top books published within the previous year. Teens across the country read and vote for their favorite to create the Top Ten list of books for teens.

From YALSA's website:

Teens' Top Ten is a "teen choice" list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year! Nominators are members of teen book groups in fifteen school and public libraries around the country. Nominations are posted on Support Teen Literature Day during National Library Week, and teens across the country vote on their favorite titles each year.

Check out these lists to find some really great books!

One of the books on the 2010 nomination list, Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (and the first book of the series, The Hunger Games), is VERY popular at RMS right now. We can't wait for the 3rd and final book, Mockingjay, to be released on August 24, 2010!

Have you read any of the books on the nomination list? What did you think? Leave a comment and discuss!
